GMS2 went into its Windows beta on November 2, 2016. Since then, it's gone through a number of updates, patches, and fixes that are quickly making it a go-to engine for aspiring game developers -- especially those looking to make mobile games.
With a superior workflow over the GameMaker: Studio 1.4 engine, as well as a much more robust and intuitive user interface, GMS2 makes it even easier to get into developing games even if you have no prior programming experience. This is thanks to its logical Drag-and-Drop programming system.
